Through its predecessor firms, Webb Farry has been a part of Dunedin’s community for more than 100 years. It is therefore not surprising that we support a wide range of activities across Otago.
In addition to our sponsorships, the firm also supports the Combined Dunedin Churches’ Christmas Foodbank Appeal each year, through both a financial contribution and staff-donated food parcels.
Dunedin Symphony Orchestra
We have sponsored the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra (previously Southern Sinfonia) for many years. The Orchestra's high artistic standard is acknowledged nationally and it is a source of pride for Dunedinites. However, with limited government support and the Orchestra’s wish to keep ticket prices reasonable, it relies on local support, such as ours.
“Webb Farry’s long-standing sponsorship of the orchestra has meant that the orchestra is able to provide its community with a wide range of performances, and all at a consistently-high quality. In turn this contributes to keeping Dunedin’s arts and culture vibrant.”

Otago Cricket and Webb Farry teamed up in 2008 and we support them through time, financial sponsorship and as their solicitors.
“Webb Farry’s support of Otago Cricket helps us deliver quality programmes and opportunities to all levels of cricket in our community.”
Southern Rugby Club
Our involvement with the Southern Rugby Club is one of time and financial support.http://www.srfc.co.nz
Taieri Rugby Football Club (TRFC)
With our longstanding connection to Mosgiel via our office in its prime Gordon Road location, we are proud to now be a major sponsor of the Taieri Rugby Football Club.
“Overall our partnership with Webb Farry allows us to put six teams out on the field every week. More specifically, in 2020 our six senior teams will be receiving new playing jerseys, shorts and socks along with a variety of off field gear too. Without the support from Webb Farry this wouldn't be possible.”

Webb Farry are proud to be a sponsor of the Country Music Dunedin Awards (CMDA). This event is only in its second year however the growth in that short time has been remarkable. With over 300 individual songs performed over the weekend to appreciative audiences, the event culminates in a fantastic night of entertainment with the Finals Show! In 2019, Lana Stevens took out the major prize of Senior Overall Winner performing her country rock rendition of Miranda Lambert’s – 2 More Bottles of Wine! We look forward to getting behind this fabulous event again in 2020.

Dunedin Performing Arts Competitions Society
Our support of the performing arts in Dunedin goes back decades, to the time of former mayor Peter Chin, a founding Partner in the practice. The Webb Farry Junior Scholarship is for 18 to 20 year olds and competed for annually.
“The Webb Farry Junior Scholarship is affectionately known as ‘the Webb Farry’ amongst singers in that age group. Competing for the scholarship gives young singers the opportunity to perform a varied three-song recital, which tests their vocal stamina, musical storytelling ability, linguistic skills and overall performance skills. This gives the younger singer a taste of what performing at a high level is like. Many have gone on to compete in the Senior Cleveland Scholarship.”http://www.dpacs.org.nz
