Megan is an experienced Partner in our Commercial and Property law teams since 2010.

Megan works with significant local and nationally recognised fast-growing corporates and has led complex growth-focused corporate arrangements including layered and multi-entity structures and amalgamations.

She has extensive experience drafting and negotiating high-value commercial contracts, licensing of intellectual property and technology, Shareholder Agreements and compliance arrangements, and bespoke commercial deals.

Megan works closely with her clients to assess risk and deliver forward-thinking, commercially sound advice.

Her knowledge crosses the trade and industry sectors including construction, professional services, transport and logistics. She supports small and medium size entities with pragmatic business advice including planning for succession and business sales and purchases, Terms of Trade and Franchising.

Megan is highly regarded for her knowledge in Trusts and personal asset structuring and her guidance with intricate family dynamics. She works closely with accountants and other advisors to coordinate outcomes. Her team supports all aspects of wills and estate planning, and advising not-for profits and Charitable Trusts.

Megan is recognised for her strategic advice in property transactions including residential and commercial sales and purchases, complex Unit Title developments and Commercial leasing.

Megan is Chair of the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra Board and holds other governance appointments including as a mentor in community governance for Mentoring Foundation of New Zealand. She believes corporate support in all its forms is essential to the services and value delivered by community and not-for-profit organisations. She is a member of the Cancer Society Spring Ball organising committee and the Institute of Directors.
